Transport Shift Manager
Upto £42k + Benefits

Our client is a niche FMCG Distributor and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Transport professional as they look to recruit a Transport Shift Manager at their site in Bellshill, on a Tuesday to Saturday shift (1000hrs – 1830hrs).
Reporting into the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the busy Transport operation, with a fleet size of c15 units and 16 Drivers. The site operates on a multi-drop basis.
Key Accountabilities as Transport Shift Manager:
- Ensure compliance of HHT processes
- Vehicle Routing for max efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Ensure Operators License processes are maintained
- Build and maintain relationships with colleagues.
- Dealing with general customer & sales rep enquiries
- De-brief drivers on return
- Monitoring of return orders/goods
- Assist with driver training, files, and documentation.
- Ensure outstanding documents from Depots and Suppliers are received and resolve any anomalies
- Routing 1 Sunday in 2 (approx. 1530hrs – 1630hrs).

- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment with daily deadlines
- Good interpersonal communication skills to integrate into team
- Ability to work on own initiative and suggest/implement improvements in process
- Flexible approach to working with customer and rep deadlines
- Ambition to develop & grow within the role
- IT literacy and knowledge of MS Office package. Routing software and Power Bi an advantage.
- Class C License, DCPC Card & Digital Tacho Card
