client is a leading FMCG Distribution Company in the UK and, due to an exciting
increase in volume, we are delighted to assist them in their search for a team of
Stock Controllers at their site in Hertfordshire.
into the Stock Control Supervisor, you will look to achieve and maintain
customer product availability, managing all commercial stock in the RDC whilst
providing support to the Stock Control Supervisor so that SLAs and KPIs are
Responsibilities for the Stock Controller:
customer orders in an accurate and timely fashion.
To place supplier
orders promptly to ensure achievement of service level targets.
product shelf life.
Ensure that any
orders not received are chased and delivery agreed.
stock including correct pack sizes, quantity, price and best before dates.
products from suppliers both existing and new.
returns to supplier/Depots.
To promote good
relations with external and internal suppliers.
effectively to sales fluctuations, seasonal changes and supply problems in
order to minimise out of stock lines.
To ensure that
extensive communication channels exist and are upheld between suppliers,
managers, in-house colleagues and external depots.
To take an
active role throughout depot stock take procedure.

Control day to
day activity concerning export.
Manage day to
day non-core activity.

comprehensive training of administration staff in order to facilitate adequate
cover during periods of holiday absence.
production of daily, weekly and period reports.
The Candidate for the Stock Controller roles:
- From a similar FMCG Environment
skills, ability to prioritise, reactive as well as proactive.
- Ability to
work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
communication skills including PC literate, Excel, Word, Outlook and
previous stock control experience.
to GCSE standard.
already gained, or be willing to work towards a CIPS qualification
