client is a leading FMCG Distribution Company in the UK and we are delighted to
assist them in their search for a National Account Manager at their Distribution
Centre in Greater Manchester, with an initial remit of contract & service
management, with a strong commercial and logistics focus.
into the Head of Client Relations, you be expected to develop the performance management of the account, by working closely
with the Client. You will be
main interface between the client and the
business and to protect the contract, drive change, achieve continuous
improvement and identify growth/profit opportunities within the account
Key Accountabilities as
National Account Manager:
the financial performance of the account in relation to budget and overall
commercial objectives and to ensure the customer and the company achieve the
requirements of the contractual framework set out.
planning – contract and business
and line management (driving change / improvements)
of portfolio KPIs
KPIs – profit and cost budgets (client development and retention, new revenue,
new and organic, portfolio level contract management)
manage risk e.g. credit exposure
customer relationship beyond one of logistics provider to a partnership
business/ profit opportunities within existing customer base
of franchisees (where applicable) – with focus on credit insurance / exposure
communication between the client & the business, ensuring both parties are
advised of any changes, issues or decisions that will impact on customer service
life and dead stock issues to avoid and mitigate any financial exposure to the
manage menu, estate, promotional, system
The Ideal Candidate
for National Account Manager
Previous experience of Client Management in a Logistics environment
· Evidence of commercial awareness and results orientation.
· A good negotiator and competent influencer.
· Enthusiastic, self-motivated and experience of dealing with both clients
and suppliers is essential.
· Dedicated to the provision of excellent verbal and written communication;
· Evidence of performance analysis, KPI management, sales & stock
· Business account planning experience including operational, logistics,
manpower and financial aspects.
Evidence of team building and team participation.
