WAREHOUSE SHIFT MANAGER

Strive are exceptionally pleased to be recruiting for a rapidly growing high street retail & e-commerce driven business. They service stores across the UK & are now expanding into Europe.

As part of their growth plans a role has now arisen for a Back-Shift Manager to help drive the NDC forwards.

 

Summary:

Note the shift pattern is a back shift – Mon-Fri 2pm – 10pm

Location – North Lanarkshire – [between Hamilton & Coatbridge]

To support the DCM with the day to day operation including stock control operation. Lead, supervise and support all areas of warehouse operation including goods receiving, daily picking, replenishment picking, order fulfilment, despatch, stock management and returns operations. Produce and manage staff rota’s in line with volume forecasts.

 

Responsibilities

·         Provide hands on leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standard of work practises 

·         Motivate & organise the team [own & agency] to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded with clear goals & objectives

·         Maintaining standards of Health & Safety

·         Deliver a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for employees

·         Manage daily performance and absence management in line with company expectations

·         Stock management is correct, complete and accurate

·         Order fulfilment – ensure orders are picked and packed in accordance with SLA’s

·         To ensure new staff are inducted and that the DC Staff Induction Program is delivered effectively and to the outlined timetable

·         Provide effective communication across all departments

·         Assist in improving the supply chain and supplier compliance through ensuring Delivery Scorecards are completed accurately

 

Candidate experience required?

The ideal candidate must have worked in a fast-moving warehouse operation. This can include retail, parcels, e-commerce etc.

·         PC literate

·         Provide accurate Rota’s in line with the forecasted figures

·         Ideally will have managed a returns operation

·         Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

·         Strong experience in stock control and stock management

·         Good communicator with excellent written and oral skills

·         Strong people manager, who can lead and develop an effective team
