Transport Operations Manager Oxfordshire

We are delighted to assist our client, one of the worlds largest FMCG distribution companies in their search for a senior Transport professional. This role has excellent prospects & a great deal of autonomy.


Ideal candidate?   

         Must have run a fast moving Transport operation [parcels / e-comm & food for example would be comparative environments]

         CPC qualified (Essential)

         Must have held an O License

         Great leadership skills

         Set & Managed a transport budget

         Being a role model and be responsible for setting and maintaining standards in service, cost, health & safety and compliance.


Role Summary:

         Reporting into the General Manager, you will be tasked with running every aspect of a busy, high pressure transport operation. The site delivers across South on a multi-drop basis. 

         You will be responsible for the all activities for the transport function ensuring the site compliance is up to date and legal records are up to date at all times

         Managing a budget of 6.5m in an extremely fast paced transport environment. Deliver the budgeted numbers for all areas relating to transport costs.

         Leading a team of 2 with 8 Transport support roles and 48 drivers. Including improving route planning

         Creating a better working culture & operational environment ensuring the department is fully compliant & all staff are fully on board.

         Maintain & look to improve on time delivery service to customers and achieve 100% on vehicle departure times.

         All areas of the FTA vision tracker to be reporting a green status.
