Warehouse Day Shift Manager

Our client is a leading specialist retailer in the UK, and we are delighted to assist in their search for a Warehouse Shift Manager at their NDC in the Surrey area, on a permanent day shift. 4on 4off 6am-6pm. (hours can be subject to change dependant on business requirements)

 

Your responsibilities will include managing a team of 20-30 who are picking stock, preparing orders for despatch and goods in. You will be leading them by example, working efficiently within the team to ensure the warehouse KPIs and standards are maintained at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities:

         Leading and inspiring your team to success

         Enabling the full potential of your team and individuals by continuous coaching and tailored development

         Working as a key management team member to ensure the smooth daily running of all departments

         Working with colleagues to make best use of resources

         Communicate with the team constantly to ensure understanding of business needs and targets, such as individual, department and CDC KPIs & targets

         To remain calm and professional in times of stress or conflict and is open to feedback from others

         To lead, motivate and develop direct reports to create a high performing team

         Enable effective team working with peers & seniors

         Potential of further growth within the organisation through self-development

 

The ideal Candidate:

  • From a similar Warehousing background, you will have supervisory experience within a fast-paced, manual environment.
  • Excellent People management skills, which will enable you to develop and motivate your team.
  • Superb communication skills, target driven and highly motivated
  • The ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve
  • The ability to challenge the norm and support & enable change for the better
