Warehouse Manager
West London

Our client is an established events company who provide scenery, staging, lighting and AV for a wide range of events across the UK and Europe. We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager at their site in West London. Here, you will be responsible for managing, leading and developing a small team and ensuring the efficient running of their delivery and returns operation.


This is a very involved and hands-on role where you will be expected to get involved with all aspects. Technical knowledge of lighting/audio visual equipment would be beneficial as would being handy with builds and preparation as you will be required to be on site occasionally working with the production & build teams. Class 2 license is essential as some driving is required.


Key Responsibilities:

         Manage all incoming and outgoing equipment

         Ensure all equipment leaving and returning to the warehouse is correct and recorded

         Managing equipment shortfalls

         Liaising with production managers for any equipment queries

         Direct warehouse operations and manage warehouse staff

         Ensuring trucks/vans are loaded & unloaded in an efficient and timely manner

         Ensuring all equipment leaving and returning is prioritised

         Managing consumable stocks

         Implementation of continuous improvement procedures to ensure smooth operation

         Service, maintain and repair equipment

         Ensure all equipment is in good order ready for despatch

         Fault finding and basic servicing and repair of equipment

         Driving and site work


The Candidate:

         Demonstrated experience in a similar role

         You will have experience in man-management of a small team and of working in an equipment hire environment particularly relevant to events would be beneficial

         You will already have a good knowledge of how an efficient warehouse should be run. You must be able to organise, be process driven, tidy, methodical, diligent and have an acute understanding of the deadlines and pace required to run a successful warehouse.

         High level of attention to detail

         Autonomous and a proactive work ethic.

         Ability to take ownership and accountability.

         Approachable, flexible and calm and decisive under pressure

         Full UK driving license + Class 2

         Availability to work late nights and weekends sometimes at short notice
