Import/Export Coordinator

Our client is a leading customs agent and solutions provider to many industries across the world and they are looking to recruit an Import/Export Coordinator to join their busy team in Colnbrook. 

 

The main purpose and focus of the role is to provide clearance and handling duties for imports & exports into and out of the UK. You will be working in close collaboration with other local departments, international offices and customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

         Handling air import & export shipments

         Dealing with customs entries

         Coordinating work procedures with HMRC, airlines, internal and external customers

         Working in conjunction with all other departments to ensure continuous work-flow

         Managing Duty/Vat payments etc.

         Liaising with external 3PLs to arrange transport of cleared goods to customers

         Place bookings with third party logistics providers (3PL)

         Receive and check booking confirmations

         Confirm bookings to customers

         Issuing instructions to the suppliers (3PLs)

         Track shipments until delivery and report bottlenecks

         Manage all relevant clearance & shipping documentation, ensuring it is issued in accordance with all requirements

 

Key Requirements:

         Knowledge of both import & export clearance documentation & associated practices

         Experienced in freight forwarding (3-5 years)

         Extensive knowledge of in HMRC procedures & processes

         Full knowledge range of CPCs and entry procedures

         Ability to prioritise under pressure

         Strong attention to detail is imperative

         Experience working with CNS, CCSUK and Datafreight

         Excellent communication skills at all levels
